Free rice

Today in my maths class with Mrs Dun, all the students played a

game called free rice. Every time I answered a question correctly,

I would have donated 10 grains of rice each time. I was able to

answer 300 questions and donated 3000 grains of rice. This game

is a very useful for game and hopefully others with use it too.

Social Responsibility - P.E class

What was my level last week?

I believe I was a level 4

Why were you that level?

I was a level 4 because I was working well with everyone

in my class and was complimenting and encouraging others

throughout our game. I was always complimenting our team

on how we were beating the boys all the time and I worked

really well with them. I then took care of our equipment and

helped packed it all away.

What do you need to do to be higher level?

I should start learning how to be a role model and I should

also be learning how to show this is different areas like in maths,

Social and even out of school.

Food technology - Making Party sausages

Today we made Party sausages filled in with cheese. We started

off by slicing our normal sausages in the middle, half way. Next

we filled it up with cheese. After that we topped our sausage up

with tomatoes. We then baked it at 1800C for 10 minutes in the

oven. I worked with my partner Trinity, we were both able to

make delicious sausages.

What is social responsibility?

Social responsibility is all about attitudes and values that can

support myself and other students in making responsible

decisions about my or whoever's behaviours and involvement

in physical education and in others areas.

What level were you during our lessons and why?

I believe I was a level three. I think this because I showed respect

to my teacher and the other students around. Another reason why

I thought I was a level 3 was because, I know for a fact that I was

being honest and fair in our lesson and I made good choices in the lesson.

What could you do in order to improve your level of social responsibility 

for next lesson?

I should be able to complete all of level 3's areas, take care of equipment and

I should be able to work well with everyone in the class.

Food technology - Making brownies

Today in food tech we made brownies. We had to rush it because

we started late but if I got to be very honest, it turned out great. It

was nicely cooked at right and it wasn’t burnt.

Step 1:

• 1 cup of plain flour
• 1 tsp of Baking powder

Step 2

• ¼ cup of cocoa
• 2 tbcp coconut

Step 3

• ½ cup brown sugar
• 125g butter (melted microwave - 1 min 10 sec)

Step 4

• 1 egg
• 1 tbsp vanilla essence

The type of government I think is best is the?

The reason this type of government is the best is because? They

are being fair to each other and they are actually thinking

about everyone else instead of saying that they are the boss  

or king of everyone. They are giving those who are in-need a

home and making sure that everyone is equal.

Food Tech - Making Chocolate cake

1 ½ a cup of Plain flour

½ a cup of sugar, ½ tsp of salt

½ a cup of oil, ½ a cup of warm water

¼ a cup of cream

¼ a cup of cocoa, 1tsp of B/soda & B/powder

1 egg

Mix well

Baker 1800C for 20 minutes

Today we managed to make a chocolate cake . It was a
great success because it turned out being tasty and beautiful.
It took us some time to think of how we could decorate this and
honestly is was magnificent. Today I learnt a good listen on how
to make chocolate cake.

1. 1 1/2 cup of self raising flour

2. 1/2 cup of sugar

3. 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of oil

4. 1 egg

5. Mix well

1 scoop onto flat baking tin and bake 180 degrees for 15 minutes.

Today in class we made Rock cake using all these ingredients.

Today was a success because they ended up being very delicious.

It took time for us to do this and luckily it became a number 1 hit.

Business - How to calculate the ineterest rate on savings and its accrued amount

In class we are learning how to calculate the interest rate on savings

and there accrued amount. We have been learning this for a few weeks

now and I have finally been able to explain how to calculate the interest

rate on savings and there accrued amount.

The first step to doing this, is knowing What is Interest? Interest is money

paid regularly at a particular rate for the use of loaning money or for delaying

the payment of debt. The interest is different to an interest rate because the

interest rate is when a proportion of a loan is charged as an interest to the

borrower, basically adding on top interest.

Secondly we must know what P, R and T stands for, for us to be able to start.

So P stands for Principal, R stands for Interest Rate and T stands for Term.

We must be able to remember these before even starting. Now for example, P

is the principal right and so the principal must be the amount of money borrowed

in a loan or put into a savings account. The R is Interest rate as a decimal  and the

T is for term, meaning the years to pay back.

Now let's start. Let’s say we were given a ( P - $2000, R - 2.5%, T - 5 years ).

We first wanna find the interest rate, you may think its ( 2.5% ) but no it isn’t.

You must divide ( 2.5% by 100 which is 0.025% ). Once we have gotten that,

we then multiply the interest rate by the principal and the Term

( $2000 x 0.025 x 5 ) = 250. After this we add the

( P - $2000 + R- 250 = $2250). Now this is how we find the interest rate on

savings, but we still haven't found the accrued amount. The accrued amount is

like another way of solving this but very different, but it still has the same sum

at the end of it.

Now when trying to find the accrued amount, we must know the number

sentence to solve it which is eg: ( P(1+RT ). It looks very difficult but it aint.

Now so lets say we were given the ( P - $2000, R - 2.5%, T - 5 years ),

exactly the same like the first equation we did. When finding the accrued

amount, it should look like this ( $2000 ( 1 + 0.025 x 5).We first divide

the ( R = 0.25 by 100) = 0.025. After that we multiply the

(I - 0.025 x T - 5 = 0.125 ). After this we add ( 1 + 0.125 ) = 1.125.

Afterwards we multiply the ( P-$2000 x 1.125 ) = $2250. That is exactly the

same sum we got when finding the interest rate on savings, but I have now

shown you both on how to find the interest rate on savings and its accrued

amount.

Food technology - Making macaroni cheese

Step 1: Boil Macaroni with 2 cups of water until soft

Step 2: Make the white sauce

Step 3: Fry onion with butter until soft

Step 4: Add plain flour and stir until mix well

Step 5: Add 2 cups of milk and half of your cheese

Step 6: Combine with macaroni and bake for 15 minutes

Today we were able to make macaroni cheese. It was very difficult

making it because everyone in my class kept mucking up and we

all didn't know what to do. But in the end we did a great job when

making it. After the end product we packed everything away and

the leftovers were put in a tin for after. But other than that, today in

class my partner and I, including my whole class were able to make

macaroni cheese.

Depression

Why is it that every time I wake up, I just feel like dying or falling back to sleep

again and never waking up. I don't know why I feel like this but I just do and

every single day I put up with fake smiles, fake laughs and most of all fake

love. It feels to me that I have no purpose in life nor have a value to live.

I have experienced being a nobody. A person who’d get bullied every single day.

A person who gets mocked at by the older kids and a person who had always

been back stabbed by their friends and was never loved by her ex’s. Can I just die

already? No one wants me here so what's the point.

The thing is that I’m now 13 and I’m wanted. I’m loved and have many friends.

I’ve never been bullied since I was 10 and I have a boyfriend who actually loves

me and I’ve been with for 1 year, 3 months and 4 days. I’m popular I guess but do

I like it? To be honest I don't. I smile everyday knowing it’s fake and laugh

everyday knowing it’s fake too. Sometimes I wish I could just run away far

and never come back.

At the end of everything, it didn't turn out right. All I know is that my final

breathe was on 23.05.06. I hang there for awhile and slowly drift into the skies

as I feel more peaceful.See I was right, no one cared. They moved on and I started

to realise all the lies hidden beneath me. But who cares now, I’m in a better place anyways:))))))))

It came from the sea, calmly at first. An enormous, slithering tentacle

slowly oozing its way over the top of the sea wall, exploring the

metal and concrete shapes with suckers the size of your front door.

Then, as more and more people came, and shrieks and cries of alarm

filled the air, the creature became angry. All hell broke loose………

In an almighty tangle of limbs and water and buildings and people,

the beast came violently exploding out of the frothing water. The

normally sturdy metal supports of the building groaned under the

extreme weight of the gigantic tentacles crushing them.

But where had the creature come from? What did it want?

How could anybody stop it?

There wasn't time for many people to think but run……….

Many life guard boats were sent out into the city, rescuing civilians of

the town as more and more water started to flood the streets. Screams

started to sink and bodies began to float as the water grew higher and

higher.

The beast itself began to appear in many places, swimming through the

lands where we thought would only be dry and knocking down the buildings

that would hit into the lifeboats.  

No one knew what to think or say but the only thing that went into their

heads was the day they will die.

The treacherous monster began to slither through the cities eating up the

lands of the people, sucking the life out of the earth with its plungers.

Sooner or later nothing was going to be found.

Food technology - Making Hot cakes

Method

• 1 ½ of S.R. flour
• ½ cup of sugar
• 1 cup of milk
• 1 egg
• Mix well and fry 6 hot cakes
• Serve on the plate with chocolate/syrup sauce

Today in cooking class we made Hot cakes. It was really fun

to make and I’m glad I made it because I’ve learnt how to make

something new. We were able to put either syrup or chocolate

sauce with our hot cakes and it was yummy. We were told to make

6 but we were able to make more and we shared it around
